Napa-Vallejo Waste Management Authority is seeking an Executive Director. The Executive Director is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Board of Directors of the Authority. This is a contracted part-time position (16-20 hours/week) administering the day-to-day operations of the Authority and providing oversight of a number of private contractors, under the direction of the Board. The Executive Director provides supervision for two part-time staff: a Landfill Superintendent and a Management Analyst. Candidates should possess senior management expertise and ideally display a successful record of achievement in solid waste and environmental management and development of operating and capital budgets. As this position requires working closely with the member agency Board members, the ideal candidate will possess a high level of political acumen and the ability to establish collaborative relationships with each of the Authority Board members.
