Castle Pines Metropolitan District is seeking a Finance Manager with demonstrated knowledge of fund accounting and excellent forecasting and analysis abilities. Responsible for an operating budget of $16 million and an accounting and billing staff of 3.0 FTE, the Finance Manager must possess effective interpersonal abilities and the ability to collaborate and problem-solve with staff, board members, residents, and other regional entities. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thought leader with a commitment to innovation.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and at least 8 (eight) years of experience in local government, water utility, or private industry financial management. This experience must have included fund accounting and experience evaluating and setting utility rates and charges. Three years of supervisory experience is also required. A master’s degree is preferred, as is licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
