LACSD is seeking an innovative and collaborative Assistant Human Resources Director to implement creative strategies that attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent. The ideal candidate will have proven HR leadership experience and excel at building partnerships across the organization. They will act as a strategic advisor on workforce planning, diversity and inclusion, recruitment and retention initiatives, employee relations and investigations, training and development, and succession planning. The Assistant Director will be a solutions-oriented, empathetic leader focused on supporting the HR team, mentoring staff at all levels, and fostering a culture of open communication. They will use their strong relationship building skills to work effectively with various stakeholders, including unions, employees, and other departments. This hands-on HR expert will balance long-term vision with on-the-ground realities to create lasting change in the HR Department.
