Sacramento Steps Forward is seeking a Chief Program Officer (CPO). As the CPO, you will be a key member of the leadership team. Your primary responsibilities will include driving program results, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining compliance with all program funding sources. You will oversee the Core Services of Coordinated Access, CoC Governance, Grants, and Risk Management, and lead efforts to build comprehensive interfaces between departments, implement a data-driven approach to strategy, and cultivate a culture of compliance and accountability. This is a hybrid position, which means it requires periodic office presence, but also offers flexibility. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with substantial experience managing federal and state programs, particularly those related to homeless housing, community development, and HUD grants. They possess a strategic vision paired with an operational focus, ensuring the seamless execution of programs and compliance mandates. They are empathetic, communicative, and able to establish credibility with both the Board and the community. This candidate excels in building a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement within the organization.
