The Ventura County Transportation Commission is seeking a Finance Director. The Finance Director plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the financial activities of the Agency; safeguards assets, meets legal requirements, and maintains strong fiscal accountability of the Agency’s finance and accounting functions. The Finance Director must exercise independent judgment and discretion in formulating, managing, and controlling fiscal policies and in strategic planning for financial systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong customer service ethic, fostering positive and cooperative relationships across all levels of the organization, while demonstrating a transparent management style. They will approach organizational challenges with creativity and possess a strategic, forward-thinking vision, coupled with honest, straightforward, and ethical leadership.
