The ideal candidate for the Director of Public Works Operations & Maintenance will possess a strong background in the operation and maintenance of streets, utilities, water treatment and distribution, and facilities. An energetic, self-motivated, results oriented leader who can create and implement an innovative culture and can work with staff to develop and implement the department and City initiatives. A dependable and committed team player, both within the department and as a member of the City’s executive management team.
At least ten years of responsible supervisory or administrative experience in maintenance operations, or working in a corporation yard environment managing the day to day operations.

DEFINITION: The Director of Public Works Operations and Maintenance organizes, coordinates, and directs the functions of the Public Works Operations and Maintenance Department which includes utilities and road maintenance, facilities and fleet maintenance, and water operations. The Director of Public Works Operations and Maintenance is an at-will positions that is appointed by and sits at the pleasure of the City Manager.
