The Colorado Department of Public Safety (CDPS) is seeking an experienced, strategic, and inspiring leader to serve as Director of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI). As Director, you will oversee statewide CBI operations, including Investigations, Forensic Services, Crime Information Management, Biometrics, and Criminal Background Checks. You’ll lead a high-performing team of sworn and professional staff, champion innovation and accountability, and drive forward a mission that impacts communities across Colorado every day. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in department reorganization and talent development. The successful candidate must be able to obtain (or currently hold) federal security clearance.
