Under the general direction of the General Manager, the Wastewater Operations Manager plans, organizes, directs, and implements comprehensive strategies and programs for the operation, monitoring, regulation, maintenance, and repair of the Water Reclamation Facility.

Some responsibilities include ensuring the operational status of the plant’s treatment system, facilities and processes; ensuring treatment standards and goals are achieved through the proper operation and maintenance of facilities and equipment; coordinating and collaborating departmental activities with other departments, governmental entities, and contractors; deploying staff and resources; addressing organizational and personnel matters and performance management; ensuring regulatory compliance; preparing reports on department activities.

The position also assists with planning, preparing, and administering the annual operating and capital budget; prepares awards and administers contracts and agreements; and assists the General Manager in the development of the Department’s long-range plans, goals, and objectives.
