Dr. Yako is a cultural anthropologist and writer. Working in various roles and capacities in higher education, INGOs, and healthcare sectors since 2003, his extensive background includes experience as a cultural advisor; researcher, and writer in the fields of humanities and social sciences; designing and teaching courses through multiple universities.
One of his most recent positions included 5+ years of experience in providing academic and career guidance, as well as extensive webinars and trainings, in the development of professional and transferrable skills to diverse partners and stakeholders through Arizona State University.
Dr. Yako also worked as a researcher, consultant, facilitator, and monitoring and evaluation expert for multiple high-level organizations/clients like RTI, the British Council, USAID, Chemonics, and others.
