This three-part series of courses will give you all the tools you need to pass a final project-based exam and attain a Data Analytics Professional certificate. The ability to analyze data and present it in an easily consumable manner is a highly valued skillset in today’s workplace.
Transition from proficiency to mastery with this Data Analytics training series.
Each part will include training and culminate in the completion of an in-class project. After completion of each in-class Part, you will have a project-based “midterm” exam that you will complete on your own and return to your instructor for assessment before moving to the next part in the track.
Part One of the Data Analytics Professional track includes a project displaying your skill set for importing raw data into Excel and scrubbing and unifying the data, so it becomes usable in Excel. You will then perform a variety of calculations on the data set and apply visual interest to the data using conditional formatting and sparklines, so it is easily absorbed.
Part Two of the Data Analytics Professional track will give you the skills needed to create an interactive dashboard in Excel. A dashboard is a way to manipulate and analyze your data in a visually appealing graphic format. You will use the scrubbed data set you worked on in Part One to create a Data Model in Power Pivot and use it to further transform your data and relate separate data sets.
Part Three involves creating a Power BI online Dashboard which can be shared with colleagues. This dashboard is stored in the cloud and linked to the source data set, so any changes to the dataset reflect in the Dashboard. You will import the Power Pivot Data Model, PivotTables, and PivotCharts from Part Two into the Power BI Desktop application and further transform the data using Power Query Editor. You will create Power BI reports based on the transformed data set for more powerful analysis and visualization.
