The City of New York Department of Buildings has contracted with CPS HR Consulting to provide licensing and qualifications for the following trades. The Candidate Information Bulletin for each trade is linked below.

Attention Licensing Candidates for High Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer and Oil Burner Equipment Installer: Effective immediately, practical examination administrations will not be held during the months of July and August due to extreme heat making the testing environment unhealthy for continuous exposure. No exceptions will be made to Title 1 of the Rules of City of New York § 104-01 License Qualifications (c) (2) (iv) & (v) (https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/buildings/rules/1_RCNY_104-01.pdf), stipulating that candidates only have up to twenty-four (24) months from the date of notification of passing the written test to pass the practical test. Candidates concerned about violating this rule are advised to contact [email protected] as soon as possible.
