The State of Colorado, Governor’s Office of Information Technology is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer.  The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) serves as the single point of contact for all information security initiatives in the State. As the information security voice for Colorado, the CISO briefs state executives, the Colorado General Assembly, and legislative committees including the Joint Technology Committee. The CISO is the executive sponsor and leader for the Colorado Information Security Program.  Reporting to the State Chief Information Officer, the CISO also advises the Governor’s Office and Executive Branch agency leadership on security risks and impacts of policy and management decisions on IT-related initiatives.

The CISO will determine strategic and tactical security direction for the State to meet objectives and establish and communicate information security policies, standards, programs, and processes.  This position will rely on an “information security as a business” mindset, strengths in collaboration and communication across the enterprise, innovative practices, and process improvement for all aspects of information technology related initiatives.
