Jefferson County is seeking a Business and Finance Director. This position reports to the Executive Director for Human Services and with two direct reports overseeing a staff of 29 FTEs while serving as an engaged member of the executive team to advance and support their vision to provide excellent, individualized service throughout their communities with dignity and respect. The Business and Finance Director is responsible for leading a team that manages the financial aspects of Human Services programs. They oversee tasks such as analyzing, preparing, and reporting on program finances. The Director also initiates accounting, budgeting, and support services projects to maintain fiscal responsibility with an annual budget of over 100 million dollars. Additionally, they collaborate with program directors and managers to ensure compliance with grant and funding regulations for these programs.
The ideal candidate for this position should have leadership and management experience in both accounting and human services. They should be skilled at managing complex systems and various funding sources. Building relationships, supporting teams, and fostering innovation are essential qualities.
