Utah Transit Authority is seeking a Comptroller. As the Comptroller, you’ll be an integral part of a dynamic team, tackling some of UTA’s most exhilarating and complex projects. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation as you contribute to the design, construction, and maintenance of cutting-edge public transportation initiatives that enhance the Greater Utah community. The ideal candidate will serve as a definitive decision-maker dedicated to implementing effective and timely solutions. They should demonstrate a strong capacity for thoroughness and the ability to cultivate positive working relationships with UTA management and external agencies. A key aspect of the role involves adeptly recognizing and adapting to evolving conditions. To perform the job successfully, candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of and experience with preparing an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. They must have a minimum of seven years’ experience in accounting, including four years of governmental enterprise and grant accounting experience, four years as a supervisor, and five years as a Comptroller or position primarily responsible for an organization’s accounting and financial reporting. They will possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management, and a CPFO, CPA, CMA, or CGFM designation is desirable. Experience with Oracle-based systems is also a plus.
