Experience
After serving the City of Texarkana, Texas as HR Director for almost 13 years, LaShon joined the City of Plano in 2001 and worked as HR Director and DCM until she retired in 2016. She re-joined the City of Plano in February 2022 as HR Director and returned to the role of Deputy City Manager in April 2023.
Education
LaShon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M) and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. She is a long-term instructor for the Texas Certified Manager Program and enjoys facilitating professional development classes and presentations.
Memberships and Recognitions
LaShon is a graduate of Leadership Plano, Class XIX and Leadership North Texas, Class 4. She was the 2014 recipient of the Linda Keithley Award for Women in Government and is a 25-year member of the International City Management Association.
Personal Information
LaShon immensely enjoys her roles as mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.
