The City of Rancho Cucamonga is seeking a Utility Operator/Project Manager. This newly created position reports directly to the Deputy Director of Electric Utility Services and serves as a Project Manager for capital distribution line extension projects and utility infrastructure design and construction efforts. The job is designed to support the Utilities Division in the development and operations of the municipal utility, and to manage facilities construction, operations, and budgeting, and provide direction to office utilities staff. The primary focus of this position will be managing electric and capital projects, from design through construction. They will also lend their expertise to other departments.
The next Utility Operator/Project Manager will be knowledgeable about the principles and practices of electric utility operations, management, and organization. They will have experience managing large-scale capital projects and bring passion and energy to the role, demonstrating a strong commitment to serving the community.
